This Bull shark, Carcharhinus leucas, was captured for scientific purpose around Belep, New Caledonia. Bull sharks are very strong, but they can quickly become tired. Occasionally a bull shark, after a capture, requires assistance to help it regain its strength before release. A little push is sometimes necessary. This one was a 2.5 meter male now called Survivor. Bull sharks are highly unpredictable and this must not be done without the presence of experienced and professional scientists, who understand bull shark behavior.
